Rieju Motorcycles in Hawaii: The Complete Buyer's Guide
If you've been paying attention to the off-road and hard enduro world in the last few years, you've noticed Rieju. The Spanish brand has quietly built one of the best-regarded enduro lineups in the business, and riders who've made the switch talk about them the way people talk about a bike they didn't expect to love this much.
Here in Hawaii, finding the right off-road machine has always been a challenge. Most mainland dealers don't think about island riders, and the logistics of getting a bike shipped to Maui, supported by a real authorized dealer who actually rides and services these machines — that's historically been the hard part. That's changed.
Make Anykine Stuff Maui is one of only two authorized Rieju dealers in the entire state of Hawaii. If you're a rider on Maui — or any island — looking to buy a Rieju, this is where you come.
Who Is Rieju?
Rieju is a Spanish motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1934 in Figueres, Catalonia. The brand spent decades producing mopeds and small bikes for the European market before making a hard pivot into off-road performance. The turning point came in 2020, when Rieju acquired the rights to Gas Gas's off-road two-stroke motorcycle models — essentially the same platform that built Gas Gas's hard enduro reputation — and began producing them under the Rieju name with their own engineering improvements.
The result was the MR series: a lineup of two-stroke enduro bikes built in Spain, designed for hard terrain, and priced competitively against the KTM/Husqvarna/GASGAS axis that dominates the segment.
Why Rieju Works for Hawaii
Hawaii isn't exactly a motocross track. The riding here is diverse — technical lava field trails, loose volcanic rock, steep jungle hillsides, unpredictable wet conditions, and terrain that changes dramatically within a few miles. It demands a bike that's light, powerful, and easy to manage in tight, technical situations. The Rieju MR series is built exactly for that.
Lightweight build. The MR models come in at around 228 lbs dry. On Maui's tighter trails and steep terrain, that difference from a heavier bike is felt immediately — especially when you're picking it up after a tip-over on a hillside.
Two-stroke power delivery. Two-strokes reward skilled riders with a power band that's snappy and responsive — exactly what you need when you're picking lines through rocks and roots. The 2-stroke also means fewer components to maintain, which matters here where finding a specialty dealership is not easy.
Electronic fuel injection (TFI) on the 300i models. Altitude and weather changes affect carbureted bikes noticeably. The MR 300i models run Bosch TFI electronic injection with selectable power maps (Race, Forest, Wet), which means the bike adjusts cleanly regardless of conditions — a real advantage going from sea level to Haleakala elevation on the same ride.
Maintenance simplicity. As an authorized dealer and full-service motorcycle shop, we stock Rieju parts and handle all warranty service in-house. You're not shipping your bike to the mainland for support.
The Rieju MR Lineup: Current Models at Make Anykine Stuff Maui
Rieju MR 250 Pro
The 250 is the right entry point for riders stepping into the MR lineup for the first time or looking for a manageable hard enduro machine. The 250cc two-stroke engine delivers plenty of power for Hawaiian trails without being overwhelming. This is the bike for riders who want performance without the full aggression of the 300.
Rieju MR 300 Pro
The MR 300 Pro is the flagship of the lineup. The 2026 Pro 300i runs a 298cc two-stroke engine with TFI electronic injection, KYB inverted closed-cartridge forks with DLC anti-friction treatment, Renthal Fatbar handlebars, and an X-Trig Rocs aluminum seatpost. Three selectable power maps, electric start, and an oil-immersed diaphragm clutch. MSRP starts at $11,399.
Rieju MR 300 Race
The Race is the competition-oriented version — stripped to the essentials and built for riders who want a more aggressive setup at a lower price point. Same TFI-injected engine platform and KYB suspension as the Pro, with a more focused configuration. MSRP starts at $10,399.
